Book Review: The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King

My thoughts 

I’ve returned! I am going to be talking about the cruel prince and the wicked king in this blog post. Both these books were super hyped, and I was very late reading them and was hesitant to read them considering the amount of negativity towards them but I’m so glad I decided to buy them. Starting with the cruel prince, I absolutely loved it I read it in under six hours and couldn’t put it down at all. It has everything I feel like I could ask for, a unique love story, murder, betrayal I mean what more do you need! Once I finished The Cruel Prince, I woke up the next morning and bought the wicked king (I have no restraint) it took me a little longer to get into The Wicked King, but I still finished it in a day. I’m not even going to lie I cried after reading it. Honestly, I have no idea how I’m going to wait a year for The Queen of Nothing but here we are waiting and waiting……  

 
Characters 

Jude- I love her and would honestly die for her she deserves the world and happiness. I mean she was stolen from her life and put into a world unknown and dangerous to her. 

Taryn- She needs to take a chill pill. Honestly i can’t stand her and I hope she gets what she deserves…. 

Vivi- She’s just trying to live her life and love her woman like why can’t she just get the happiness she deserves. 

Madoc- I don’t know if anyone’s else feels this way but i thought he was one of the most interesting characters and I couldn’t hate him. You can tell he cares for Jude and Taryn even in his own twisted ways. 

Oriana- I feel like she’s a lot deeper than people think and I feel like she is looking out for Jude whether Jude wants to see it as that or not. 

Cardan- Not gonna lie I tired to hate him but I actually love him and think he’s misunderstood and just needs some love especially after reading the wicked king.

Balekin- Tried to hate him. Should hate him.  

Locke- no. 

Nicasia- I think she’s misunderstood and just wants to make her mom happy? But still not sure about her. 

Valerian- He got what he deserved let’s be honest……

Overall 

I would most definitely recommend this. It was great and probably my favorite read of 2019 so far.
